Hello All! I'm new to this site and I have read over a couple of posts and love how helpful everyone is!

I have a favor to ask, does any one know of any remedies or products that may help me with my skin? I'm 25, and in the past i used to always pick my pimples. (Wish I knew what it would do) I have large pores/ acne scars on my nose and then onto each of my cheeks. I use clay masks, exfoliators, peel off masks every now and again-but is there a way to make my skin beautiful again??
I would like to feel like i don't have to wear makeup all the time... Thank you in advance

For large pores you can try O2 Pore Care Mask from Innisfree, this works really well at refining pores

I know you've tried clay mask before, but I really want to recommend you to try this one too --- Jeju Volcanic Pore Clay Mask from Innisfree too, and this is really good!

Hi! I want to share my experience here. I am working guy and i use for my clear skin Emami Fair and Handsome Face wash. It cleanses dirt, prevents clogging of pores, maintains natural moisture balance, lightens skin tone and cools refreshingly. Well now my skin condition is better than before. So i am quite satisfied.

WEll thank you for giving me some imput.

I do like the homemade toner idea... and after looking over some pictures I dont think i have true acne "scars". I think its more or less just enlarged pores.

So with that said is there an astringent, mosturizer, mask that will help shrink my pores?
I'm going to try and look over past posts as well.

thanks again.

Remember not to use hot water to wash your face even in the frezzing winter, just use warm water, be gentle to your pores. Though it wouls be a minor point to the remedy, but every Little bit counts! Wish you can get rid of your enlarged pores soon:)

Best treated by lifting the scar. Scars can be lifted most naturally with a procedure known as subcision.

Botox can shrink pores. It a technique a few drs specialize in: you inject botox into the muscles just below the skin that control pores, botox makes the pores disappear....it can do the same with some acne scars.

I seem to remember a few mentioning that their pores appeared more refined or were shrinking after starting KH. I didn't get very far looking but maybe try near the front of the KH thread around pages 4 or 5 for starters?

Copper Peptides are excellent for scar removal. They work to rebuild the skin while removing the damaged layers. They work in conjunction with hydroxy acids (beta hydroxy or alpha hydroxy) or other forms of manual abrasion to break down the damaged skin or scar tissue.

I have filled in several acne scars and deep icepick scars using this method.

CPs take a long time to work, but they do so without irritation and will fill in the tissue from the bottom up and from the sides in until they are smooth (or nearly smooth, depending on how long you work at it). It takes patience to do, but they do work.

I've never used the KH, but it does sound good at keeping pores clear and shrinking them, while also helping heal newer scars. CPs can do that as well, and help firm up sagging, aged skin and improve rough texture and fine lines.

Read about CPs on the Skin Biology website. They have many testimonies on scar removal and alot of them are former acne sufferers. I've had 2 bad icepick scars shrink/fill in from 3 treatments with a single needle (to break up scar tissue) followed by a strong CP (SC2X) with in an hour. I've also had some horrible blemishes heal to a smoother finish - poreless, actually - by treating them with CPs during the healing stages. The skin is so much smoother than the surrounding skin.

I also use CPs on a daily basis along with some form of exfoliation. I've had many compliments on my looks and can attribute part of that to using CPs. Some have guessed me to be 15 years younger than I am!

foxe, I've been using CPs for 3 years and cannot report any scar reduction or shrinkage of pores Sad CPs are great for tightening and healing, and yes, they are very slow-working!

Russian Sunshine, I saw some pore when I first tried them back in '08. Not a lot since then, though. I do think the CPs help stabilize your skin so they should shrink a bit from them, but probably don't work the same for everyone.

The scars are tough to work on - usually very stubborn. They always need some form of exfoliation to break up scar tissue unless the CPs get used on them during the healing phase.

Did you use any type of exfoliation on your scars with the CPs and which CPs did you try? How old and what type were your scars?

foxe, I've used GHK cream, CP serum, P&R cream, Skin Signals Serum. I took a break from CPs for about 3 months, and now starting them slowly again. I use Retin A as an exfoliator. I have 2 tiny acne scars on my chin and they are less than a year old. But enlarged pores are my biggest problem now. Since I have sensitive skin, I try not to overuse acids.

My pores became smaller in a few days after I started using a valmont regenetic cream sample from EDS. It's amazing! I love it except the price... Neutral

If you haven't seen a change in your scars with what you've been using, you might need to change up the exfoliator. Scars usually need a little push to move along. With your sensitive skin, I can see how you would want to be careful there, though.

You could give the Skin Bio hydroxy acids a try. They are considered 'gentle' HAs with pH's around 3.4. Most other acids have a much lower pH (which makes them 'stronger'). Skin Bios acids are considered gentle enough that they can be left on (instead of washed off or neutralized like other acids).

You can try just spot treating those scars w/ an acids too, to see if that breaks things up a bit.

A single needle would also work (that's what I use).

There is a poster on the Skin Bio forum that just used really strong acids (spot treating) on his scars along with Super Cop 2X and gives a full detail on his account. He had great success filling in really bad scars, like chicken pox ones.

Keep us updated on how things turn out for you RussianSunshine. Also, along with bumping up the exfoliator, you might want to try to bump up the CP strength, too. The Super CP, Super Cop and Super Cop 2X were initially developed for treating scars. I've used the SuperCP all over my face (trying to firm things up more than what I got from the regular CP Serum), but did use it for spot treating scars in the beginning and it worked for that. Now I use the SC2X for spot treating. That's the strongest CP.

You can get some samples of these with an order, which is all I've ever gotten of the SC2X. Used as a spot treatment, the sample goes a long way.

Be warned, the SC2X can cause those dreaded 'uglies' when you first use it. I saw that in the beginning - even with just spot treating. I could tell I had the uglies because just that small spot would look loose and wrinkley. It would take a couple of weeks for my skin to get use to the SC2X and then the uglies went away. My skin is so use to all the strengths of CPs now, that I don't see any looseness anymore. And this is even after I stopped using them for about 6 months last year.
