Hiya, I was wondering if anyone had any eye serum recommendations? I'm 35, with fine lines
around and under the eyes. Something preventative and nourishing would be good.
I have normal skin.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

What is the rest of your routine like? You don't necessarily need a separate eye cream, the skin is the same just thinner. |

I used to use an eye serum religiously, but then I read on here that there may not be much point. I started using the same things on my eyes as I do on my face (a little vit c, a little tretinoin), & castor oil at night, mostly for my lashes. Then I discontinued the serum, and started just dabbing a bit of zinc in the corners & undereyes, mostly for protection/healing from tears which collect when its windy, & when I brush them or makeup away.
The skin around my eyes is in much better condition now. I think the serum was just causing buildup and now its all clear & smooth.
I'm sure there are good serums out there if you really wanted one, but its probably rare that they include ingredients which aren't found in face products. |

Thanks for your replies!
My new routine (after reading through the Essential day spa threads for weeks!) is
Morning:
Simple cleanser with muslin cloth
Canvas base cream with 1% copper peptides (starting slow)
No7 Anti-Dark Spot Facial Sun Protection SPF 30 ( I have melasma)
Evening:
Simple cleanser with muslin cloth
Lets make Collagen (SA)(this has vit c in it)
Every Lipid Serum (SA)
I've started using Retin A micro twice a week, and use a dab of vitamin E or rosehip oil if I feel I need it.
And I tried out the Oil Cleansing Method last night(after reading lots about it on this forum )
This forum is ace!! |

I agree a separate eye product is not necessary. For the most part what I use on my face I also use on my eye area.
Rosehip seed oil would be great to use around the eyes. |
