Hi All wave
Is anyone aware of a website that you can sign up and get free samples? How can you get samples of a product that you want to try? I have spent so much $$$ on products that I don't like...that if I would have had the chance to try first, could have made a better decision. I am sure that I am not alone in this struggle...any tips?? Thanks alot! Confused

Hi erica1981

What specific products are you looking to try?

For example, there are lots of online stores where you can buy foundation samples.

You could try googling the name of the product you want and "samples".

I don't know of a site where you can request free samples of a specific brand - usually, you get one or two free samples with your order. But you can buy small samples on some sites (a lot of these sites are best for US residents since international shipping tends to eat up all of the savings). Anyway, some off the top of my head:

http://holisticbeauty.net/ (natural products, 100% Pure, Devita, etc)
http://www.spiritbeautylounge.com/ (natural and luxury products)
http://buynaturalskincare.com (for Eminence products)
http://www.vapourbeauty.com/ (5 samples for $15, well-reviewed organic make-up brand)

Hi

Camera Ready Cosmetics have great foundation sample sizes from different brands - I got some Face Atelier and Graftobian samples on their website. Also, Makeup Artist's Choice send out sample sizes of facial peels.

As onmyboat said, a lot of online stores, like EDS, send out free, random samples from different brands.

tefla, have you tried any Ben Nye make-up? I'm thinking of getting the tattoo/corrector wheel in fair.

Hi tefla- thanks for the tips, I'm looking for foundations, moisturizer, primers, etc. All mattifying or products that don't get shiny throughout the day. I will definitely check out the ones you suggested:) thank you so much!

Yeah, although sites differ a lot in how many they include. SkinStore.com gave me a one-use sample of Skyn moisturizer. eSkinCare.com gave me five samples (2 Dermalogica, 2 Eminence and a Pro Derm moisturizer). Pretty4Less lets you choose 3 free samples with every order.

I'm not sure about EDS. I've read about people getting a bunch and others getting one.

One way my sister does it is by going to sephora and talking to the sale's associate and requesting to try a sample of the product. She wanted to test out the new Shiseido sunscreen and they filled a small pod for her to try. But this can be a bit daunting.

Ebay is a nice place for purchasing samples too.

Wow - that Vapour line looks beautiful. I can't find many reviews on it, but I love their colors. And they sell samples!

Sephora is amazing with samples. I am always running in to try things. I'm so sick of buying expensive products only to let them go to waste. I have so many Nars products that I've used once that I've given away. Never again if I can help it!

I too would like to sample some primers, but can't find any.

Hi onmyboat

Apologies - I don't think I've got the knack of quoting correctly yet!

I haven't tried Ben Nye but I'm pretty sure that's one of the brands on Camera Ready Cosmetics.

The first option is to become a beauty blogger - they get loads of free samples but you have to review them all.

The second and relatively cheap option is you could sign up for a beauty box (a company i know about is called glossy box) they send sample sizes of all sorts of products to you every month for £10 per month.

Lastly, you could always just write to the company and ask! They will more than likely oblige, especially if they are a good company and confident in their products. Just give them an email, say could I have some samples please of this this and this and bob's your uncle, you have them!

Smile
