I'm thinking about using a sunbed to try and disguise the open pores I have on my cheeks with darker skin.
Does UV rays make open pores bigger? |

Not a good idea imho. UV causes faster break down of collagen, so you are looking at ageing skin. |

There was just an item on our news tonight about sunbeds, they are actually passing a law here in Austalia form July I think to ban them completely!
It said they are just so dangerous and need to be taken off the market! I would be trying something else to help shrink pores. |

UV light damages skin and increases skin dryness and/ or dehydration, this can indeed make pores look larger! Have you tried the Oil Cleansing Method to clear deep blockages and plump up skin so pores appear smaller? Or lifestyle modification, particularly making over your diet to encourage skin hydration and reduce inflammation? or just a general skincare routine where all the components are non-comedogenic and hydrating? |

I agree this not a good idea. Even if it did hide your pores (which I don't believe it would) what would you use to hide the wrinkles later on? |

When I get sun on my chest in the summer, it makes my pores there smaller...not sure, though, which wavelengths of light are responsible for that, but I do notice a difference....some its the same ones used in LEDs to shrink pores. |
