has anybody heard or tried this new method for wrinkle filling where a needle is used to lift the wrinkle. No fillers are used. The needle should activate the layer beneath the skin to activate the selfgrowth of collagen

That has to win the booby prize before they couldn't have included less information if they had deliberately set out to keep you in the dark! Apparently they use "special techniques". Question The before and afters section has nothing in it!

Are you sure this is really a new method Rudmom? The press release claims "There are hundreds of salons throughout Europe and the rest of the world, performing these highly successful treatments." If it really is based on needles, dermarolling/ microneedling has been around quite some time so it is hardly revolutionary.

hi Firefox
At least for me it's new. But we European's are always a bit behind on you. It has nothing to do with dermabrasie, dermarolling. The wrinkle is really lifted with a needle.
I believed in USA this technique was more practised then here in Belgium.

Nobody in the USA practices this. It really doesn't make any sense to me regardless. The skin integrity is compromised, thats why theres a wrinkle there in the first place, stabbing and lifting isn't going to do anything.

I live in the UK! Wink You can't simply lift wrinkles with a needle that would leave air bubbles in the dermis; any needle spike will damage cells which triggers the healing cascade and thus collagen is produced .... very similar to dermarolling, not at all like dermabrasion (the two are completely different). Where are you getting your information from? Is there any published research supporting this technique? I've just searched Skincaretalk forums and there is not a single reference to this, which indicates it is not widely practiced in the US.

"The technique involves using a fine probe and inserting it along the wrinkle, just under the skin surface. This stimulates the circulation and encourages extra blood flow - taking oxygen to the cells, and nutrients and nourishment to the skin in that area - encouraging cell renewal and regeneration. During this period of cell formation, by the stimulation of the skin, the production of collagen fibres is encouraged.

When we are children, tonofibrils (which produce collagen) are active as we grow. However as we reach adulthood, these only become active when we are injured hence through injuring the skin with BioSkinJetting®, we can “kick start” the tonofibrils
."

IMO it is a form of microneedling. Their understanding of cell and molecular biology is ... unusual. Wikipedia is a tad more accurate, note that tonofibrils are not mentioned http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Collagen
