Hello all

Zo skin health just realsed medical products they are identical to obagi nuderm system . But there site did not provide protocol how to use for hyper pigmentation. Do you think they will be better than obagi's original nuderm for melasma? I am currently using nuderm I am into my 3 month I do see lightning about 50% but my melasma still there . I can't decide which one to purchase next zo or obagi and I also have lifeline products on my wish list. I sampled theire product I liked it. But can't see any result with sample so I am tempted to buy full size. Really confused I can't understand where to spend my money . Thank you

The ZO medical products look extremely similar to the Obagi medical products (which could make sense since Obagi "developed" both of them!). The ZO may have some newer ingredients in them (I saw "plant stem cell antioxidants" and biomimetic peptides listed for one of the products). Newer doesn't always mean better.

That is a tough call on where to spend your money. What does your derm say? IMO, if you have been on Nu Derm 3 months, I would stick it out for the remainder of the time you have left on it. Again, that is just my personal opinion. (That said, I would definitely love to see a comparison with the ZO Medical vs Obagi Medical!!)

Thank you so much for reply back. I am definitely going to finish my nuderm products. I was wondering I could get better result while I am on maintance with zo products. Do you know which order we can use these products for melasma . Do we need retin a with these products? Can one I
Only get away just using there brightening cream I notice that does not contain hydroquinone . What's your thought on these products for maintance after nuderm . I don't have dermatologist. I don't even know if they are available in Canada . How do you like lifeline products I was wacthing there product review video on there site I client mentioned I that video that her melasma completely gone after using lifeline skin care which she had after her sons birth. I am kind of want to try that one also . Really confused about all these skin care . Melasma is making me depressed I just want to get rid of this . I have had this for past 6 years . Thank you once again.

Hi Hazelwood. I understand being depressed about melasma. You may need longer than 18 weeks with the Nu Derm. Maybe 24? Some people take longer. If your melasma is 50% gone, that is a good sign, IMO, in only 3 months time!

I don't know if you would get better results with the ZO for maintenance. I think what you could do is finish your cycle of Nu Derm, and then whichever of the lines you wanted to try, you could use those products (meaning ZO or lifeline) on the alternate days of your Nu Derm. I would stick with the Nu Derm maintenance, at least for a little while. You will more than likely still get improvement (albeit slower) being on Nu Derm maintenance.

The Lifeline I just started again this morning. It caused me problems with very red cheeks and slight burning, so I stopped because I wanted to get my cheeks back to calm before trying 1 more time. I personally would save your money and not get Lifeline at the present time. I don't think there is anything in it that would make a remarkable difference in melasma. One thing with reviews is that they are subjective and a lot of times people "see" improvement, even if it is minimal. Also, we don't know what products (or lack thereof) the reviewers used prior to the product. It can all make a difference. IMO, right now, you are using the best thing out there for melasma. Hope this helps!

Thank you that's great help you cleared my confusion . I will defiantly stick with nuderm . I am trying to conceive also. Once I will get pregnant I will have to look into different line for maintance. I know I should not be using nuderm while trying to conceive but I was editing for so long not to use and did not get pregnant now I started using nuderm will stop once I find out I am pregnant. Because I dont see that happening anytime soon. I did not use anything containing retin and hydroquinone for last 3 years because I was trying Conceive.

Hazelwood, that sounds like a good plan. Please report back on how your melasma is doing with the Nu Derm. I wish you the best on trying to conceive!
