I'm wanting to know about this, too. I'm particularly dissatisfied with sun protection for lips. It seems rare for them to include UVA protection, and lord knows what's stable. And so much that I've tried doesn't feel nice.
I have dreams of the perfect lip protection that balances comfort and protection. I'm interested in recommendations for ones that have physical sunscreens, but am open to other suggestions.
Any recommendations? |

I'm bumping this as well - I have spent the last week looking for something myself!!
Epicuren's does not have UVA protection - I just looked at their ingredients. Only one I have found w/ decent UVA is Sheseido's but it makes your lips VERY WHITE - not pretty! Tarte has a product w/ UVA protection but the colors on me were awful. I just bought Borghese lip treatment in naturale which is clear but have not tried it yet & it doesn't list the % of TD in it so I am not terribly thrilled w/ it already..... |

From what I'm reading here, I think the Jane Iredale one and Shiseido ones are close to what I am looking for. I'm also interested in "Tarte 24/7 spf 15" and the SPF 8 one by Juice, although both have lower spfs than I was hoping for. Has anyone tried either of those and had any opinions.
Also, I was wondering if someone could explain something to me. I have two Burt's Bees lip balms with spf, one claims spf 8 and contains 3.99& titanium dioxide, and the other claims spf 15 but has 2.94% titanium dioxide. How does that work? |

Do we actually need SPF for lips as well? It has never been on my 'to buy' list.  |

| I recommend PSF lipbarm. I got it when I buy PSF product on this website. It sooth and do not make my lip dry. |

I have the PSF lip defense SPF15 balsam too, it glides smoothly onto the lips, smells of a very natural vanilla scent and stays put for very long. My lips feel hydrated after using this, due to the high quality oils contained, but the SPF is chemical, which I personally don't like that much. I cannot say anything concerning the protection, since I never got a sunburn on my lips with or without sunscreen.
Oh, btw, the balm comes in a stick, not in a pot. HTH! |

Just tried the Burnout spf32 mango. It is soo delicious smelling! 
Is there a lip sunscreen w at least spf30 that is petroleum, paraben and wax free? I would prefer mineral/ not chemical. |

the texture is a little bit grainy - I guess that's the zinc. It is a little white, check yourself after putting it on. It feels moisturizing instead of chalky/ a dryer paste like the Dr Hauschka one and the Badger one.
Apart from the wax ingredient I like it a lot.
The smell of the mango one really is dreamy! I got the coconut and banana too but haven't tried them yet. |

| A bit pricy, but Fallene Cotz LipCotz, Ultra High Sun Protection SPF 45 contains only physical s/s and provides both UVA and UVB protection. |

| Hands down for the Blistex DCT SPF20 No matter what other spf lip balms i always come back for this its cheap yet effective and moisturizes the lips !! |

Definitely. I had one of those pictures taken that shows uv damage on your face. My face was ok because I have been using sunscreen daily. The most damage areas are my lips and my forehead. I skip sunscreen on my forehead due to my bangs. I was very surprised. Have been putting sunscreen on my forehead daily as well. Still looking for a good spf lipbalm though... |
