Hello all The title says it all. I have tried cutting my current foundation with a lotion, but it just makes my face look and feel greasy. I don't have a lot to cover, besides an acid burn. Mainly to even up my complexion. |

What about a tinted moisturizer? |

How about Clinique City Block Sheer SPF25? It's a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen. It's very light, covers up redness or blemishes, doesn't feel heavy at all, has sunscreen (titanium dioxide/ zinc) and is enriched with antioxidants. |

I have been using Garnier's BB Cream, I really like it.
It has sunscreen, moisturiser and primer all in one, although I do use a separate sunscreen as well. Gives nice coverage. I give a dusting of powder as it is quite dewy. |

I have used this foundation and it is very light (water based). Eco Bella
FlowerColor Natural Liquid Foundation SPF 15
http://www.eccobella.com/cosmetics/flowercolor-natural-liquid-foundation?cPath=61_62&
A treatment, sunscreen and foundation all in one! Water-based, lightweight and natural-looking, but with excellent coverage. It works hard to keep skin healthy with both a UVA /UVB sunscreen, organic herbs, and antioxidants. Organic aloe vera quenches thirsty skin, saccharide isomerate, a natural sugar that binds water to the skin acting as a reservoir for continuous moisture. Organic herbs and vitamin E rejuvenate, protect and soothe skin. Gluten-free. Vegan. Paraben-free.
Tip: Color choice. Colors are as neutral in tone as possible, and not yellow or pink. We do not attempt to “color correct” your beautiful skin tone. Choose your color based on lightest to darkest.
Ingredients: Active: Titanium dioxide. Organic aloe vera gel, glycerine, isopropyl palmitate (from palm wax), saccharide isomerate (natural sugar), organic sunflower oil, TEA palmitate (from palm wax), kaolin, magnesium silicate (a natural mineral), organic extracts of chamomile, calendula, cetyl alcohol (emulsifier), soy lecithin, flower wax, iron oxides, phenoxyethanol, natural fragrance |

I would recommend VAPOUR Atmosphere Soft Focus foundation. VAPOUR is a natural brand (perhaps 100% organic as well?) and all their foundation products are fantastic. You could ever add just a small amount of the soft focus foundation to a moisturizer to achieve an ever sheerer look. Otherwise, Celtic Complexion Tinted Sunscreen is wonderful - it gives "barely there" coverage and a healthy glow while providing natural zinc SPF. One of my holy grails. |

I would not use any foundation (made with water) without a bit of preservative considering you are placing it around eyes, nose and mouth. Microbes of all sorts can grow in it way before you even notice it has gone off!
Eco Bella
FlowerColor Cosmetics
Mineral Make-up + Flower Waxes
Make-up from earth minerals infused with flower waxes. As a flower stays beautiful over time, this flower wax-infused make-up glides on and lasts longer.
Professionals use it, actresses demand it. You'll love it. It's ecology gone beautiful. Look for the refillable compacts for eyeshadow and blush.
Gluten-free cosmetics. Preservative-free* cosmetics. For sensitive skin. *Foundation and mascara require mild preservatives.

Tarte might be a good option. I've tried it on at Sephora and it looked all right. Plus if you're pale like me, there's a good colour range which includes very pale shades. It also has SPF, but what I'm conflicted/confused about is some of its ingredients:
Active Ingredients: 5% Titanium Dioxide , 5% Zinc Oxide. Other Ingredients: Aqua, Cyclopentasiloxane, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Octyldodecyl Neopentanoate, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Aluminum Hydroxide, Stearic Acid, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Saccharum Offcinarum (Sugar Cane) Extract, Pyrus Malus (Apple) Fruit Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum (Lemon) Fruit Extract, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Fruit Extract, Camellia Oleifera Leaf Extract, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Ginkgo Biloba Root Extract, Anthemis Nobilis Leaf Extract, Phytantriol, Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate, Retinyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Tocopherol, Tretrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Boron Nitride, Palmitic Acid, Dextrin Palmitate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol. (+/-): Iron Oxides, Mica, Ultramarines.
Wouldn't all those fruit extracts increase skin's photosensitivity? Does anyone know? |

You could try the new Estee Lauder foundation Invisible. I received a sample and really like how it feels and looks like I'm not wearing a foundation. The color selection is very good as well. |

I know for a fact that citrus essential oils can increase photosensitivity but it also depends on the amount and how soon before sun exposure, extracts are much more dilute than Essential Oils. I would be one to err on the side of caution with these though. I am in a tropical zone so a lot of sun and it is brutal! |

There's a great BB cream thread in this forum. You should check it out. I like Missha from Korea. They have a 21 or 23 depending on how fair you are. I use the 23 and it's very moisturizing with excellent coverage....also has spf 30
very nice product, but not that easy to find in the US except by having it shipped from internationally....which takes a week or so |
