I have used a needle roller and am curious about the Dermastamp. I have read that it's less painful and perforates the skin better. All comments welcome.

I feel that they are pretty much the same thing. I use a roller but a lot of times I'll use the roller as a stamp and just press it through the skin repeatedly, as if it were a stamp. I watched a few YouTube videos of physicians using dermarollers on their patients in this manner. They wold repeatedly stab(for lack of a better word) their patients with one side of the roller, as if they were using a stamp. If you look at it that way, it is probably best to just use a roller because you get so much more needles/surface space than you would with a stamp, so it would be more bang for your buck. Go on YouTube and look up dermarolling procedures and you will see what I am talking about.

Now, if you wanted to dermaroll a small, hard to reach area, say around the nose or under the eyes...then a stamp would certainly be easier to maneuver so you don't hurt other areas. But other than this scenario, I would rather use a roller...either by rolling or stamping. Just my humble opinion. :]

Both tools are for different purposes, the dermaroller is used for the whole face, neck and eye area, where as the dermastamp is great for targeting scars and acne icepick scarring. Neither is less painful than the other, and if anything, the needles are a little longer on the dermastamp. The size of the head on the dermastamp is much smaller than the dermaroller. To cover the entire face area with a dermastamp would take too long, as you have to pass over every part of the skin numerous times in order for the micro-needling to take effect.

Best to remain with the dermaroller!
