The usual remedies are vaseline or cocoa butter. You could layer it by putting on some aloe vera first. |

I would give that a definite yes! It is basically Vaseline with added A&D. |

Bepanthen cream or something similar with high vitamin B5 content.
When I damage my skin I clean the area with sterile saline solution and then apply Bepanthen about 10 times a day. |

I have never seen it in any of those stores, it looks as though it has to be ordered online if you are in the US. |

If you already have A&D ointment on hand I would just use that, you mainly want to "seal in" moisture and protect the skin, both are healing. |

If you are sore I would either wait a day or two, or be really super gentle! |

No idea where Bepanthen might be found in the US, but I'm sure any pharmacy would have vitamin B5 product that is similar. Bepanthen is just the Bayer version, I've seen dozen different ones. |

When I have this issue, I use an oil, like rosehip seed oil or any oil you have on hand.. don't use a regular moisturizer as they have lots of irritants in it and would make the situation worse/ they ll sting & burn....
vasiline is also good but it only provides protection and no nutrition |
