Hi Woody, great to hear you had good results. I am also in the UK and there are a number of options to buy through Amazon UK (many of the US brands are here). I am thinking about buying the Neocell Fish Collagen with HA (20mg HA per serving). Amazon price is £12.42 for 120 capsules and there are some very positive reviews on Amazon and on iHerb. |

Collagen and higher molecular weight HA are too large to cross the intestinal barrier, collagen is a protein so is digested down to amino acids. HA is a glycosaminoglycan (polysaccharide) so would be digested down to sugars if we produced the right enzymes.
Low MW HA can be absorbed intact just as glucosamine is, and I did get that from a reputable source ... but can't for the life of me remember where because I don't think it was PubMed. Will Google and edit if needs be. |
Firefox, what low MW HA do you recommend? The brands I see in stores don't list the molecular weight. - Thanks in advance! |

I've been using Neocell powder form of Hyaluronic acid. It's a great product, but when I stop using it literally for a day, the benefits disappear. I guess in the end it's like rogaine for men, if you don't use it everyday there for the rest of your life, you will lose the benefit.
it's quite the commitment.... |
