I just scored a six-month supply of Viviscal for free, and will be taking the supplements and reporting back at the three-month mark.
In the meantime, has anyone looked into this supplement or tried it? It's supposed to be excellent for nails and eyelashes, too.

I do not have hair loss or thinning, so will report based on how much new hair, strength, and luster I gain.

So, what is your report on Viviscal? |

I have used it for 15+ years and it has helped immensely with stress-induced hair thinning. There are also clinical studies showing skin benefits.
The only negative was that it made my nose hair grow! |

Hey,
My report is that it did absolutely nothing for my hair. I've been taking it for a year, and my hair hasn't grown longer or become more lustrous. At all.

It didn't grow any faster? My growth rate doubles when I am on it. I would agree with null on the luster though. |

I ran into a former co-worker whom I hadn't seen in over a year because she had retired. Her hair, which was naturally curly, had been kind of dry, coarse, kinky and thinning. Now it was curly not kinky, shiny, softer and more voluminous. She told me she'd only been taking Viviscal for four months but many people had noticed the change. That convinced me. I've only been on it for a few weeks and figured I'd give it three or four months, without telling my hairdresser, and see if he noticed anything different. That would be the true test.
Because it's made from various kinds of fish, I wonder how much of a change I'll see. I eat fish at least four or five times a week normally. |
