During my search for babylips, I saw Elf cream eyeshadow for $1.00!!!! The pot in the packaging looks very small, but once out of the package its a decent size, very decent size for $1.00. I bought Bronzed, it is a very pretty brown with gold in it! The color can go on sheer if you prefer or darker, depending on how much you apply.

I love Elf makeup and products. Beautiful colors that wear well, and you can't beat that price. I've heard they are made by the same company that makes Mac makeup.

I am definately buying more, and wanted to point out it looks so small, but they've packaged it upside down so you can see the color! Its normal size after all

M.A.C. and E.L.F.formulas are both made in China but not by the same company. Estee Lauder took over M.A.C. a while ago (and there went the uniqueness of it).

You are saying the prices are good? I know we had a cosmetic formulator come to Cosmetology School back in the day and told us the cost then to make a lipstick was 3 cents whether you bought it at the five and dime or high end department store brands! Laughing

so much of everything, no matter where its from, is so marked up. From DIY'rs to high end skincare! People are making a killing and we buy like mad!

depending on brand name your talking, perhaps, 100% and up markups?

I know an old rule in jewlery was a 300% mark-up. Salon hair products was 2x's to 3x's cost, and on it goes

So true Tiny!

I would just as soon buy American where I can, Lord knows we need to lower unemployment and raise this economy!

No offense to other countries intended! Smile

Good luck! you might THINK you're "buying American" but where do you think the ingredients come from? Laughing

Not saying they arent top quality either - Ive never been disappointed with the results. Check Alibaba for any ingredient you use and see where the major suppliers are....

I was not just talking about ingredients, if you look and are willing to support some smaller US businesses you can find things that are 100% American grown/made!

Just used the cream eyeshadow, while its not as creamy as most that I've used, it definitely lays down a lot more color.

So the creamier ones I have to build the color, this one is harder to work with, ie: work fast, but less hassle, settles faster too! So for $1.00 I'd give it a big thumbs up!

I find that type works best, the too creamy ones tend to crease and just melt allover, look awful! Shock

creamer ones work fine but take forever on me! I have to let them dry to settle. This one settles fast and I can now report, stays, it looked as it did 4 hours ago!

So harder to work with, ie: thicker, faster dry, but alot more color

pros: more color, stays put, dries faster

so bottom line, the pros are the cons. LMAO

I am talking about those that stay cream and do not dry at all, just gross and greasy! LMAO! Laughing
