I've found several scales: http://www.lotioncrafter.com/equipment-scales-accessories/

They look quite expensive Confused
Which one do you use?

I purchased this one from SA, it even came with a leatherette pouch! $15.00 and works great!

You only need a tiny size/ basic model unless you are making in bulk or to sell so ignore all the pricier ones on Lotioncrafter. Again if you want to make larger quantities you need to consider the maximum weight: this will need to include your beakers/ bottle/ jar as well as the product itself. It IS nice if you can 'tare' the balance (reset to zero) whilst still leaving previously weighed ingredients on the scale but not absolutely essential.

I have this lovely little thing - touch screen, storage pouch and calibration weight. Very Happy http://stores.skinessentialactives.com/-strse-84/Electronic-Touch-Screen-Scale/Detail.bok
You might also find this thread helpful, Snowkitty is a professional but the others are amateur.

I got this one which I'm happy with:
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190423048789&ssPageName=ADME:L:OC:CA:1123

What are these "weighing papers" for?
http://www.lotioncrafter.com/weighing_paper-glassine.html

Maybe for those without a tare function on their scales, or easier to scrape off/collect product than from inside containers? Just wondering.

Agree with FireFox - the jeweler's scale from SEA works for me very well. Accurate down to 0.01g and tares easily for adding ingreds consecutively.

I think the glassine papers are a gimmick arent they? A piece of wax paper or a little plastic cup is just as good imo.

Glassine papers are used in laboratories, I don't much like them but they have their niche. Generally used for tiny amounts of powders because they are much easier to clean off than a weighing boat (assuming you are not able to rinse with a liquid). Even powders that are quite 'static-y' or hygroscopic come off glassine easily.

I agree you can find great deals on the jewelers scales on ebay or Amazon! Smile

I would not bother with the weighing papers either, unless you are really klutzy! j/k Bad Grin
