Hi everyone,
I'm a 31yr old male and lately over the past year or so, seemingly overnight have started to have severe issues with sagging skin on my face. It's almost like I've aged ten yrs out of nowhere...I went from being 29-30 and looking about 19, to now looking about ten yrs over my actual age. It seems like the skin on my face has lost all tone and is very loose, and I'm also developing really bad lines under my eyes and deep nasal labial folds....as a background I was a smoker for awhile way back, but quit...I don't drink, work out regularly, drink nothing but water, have a very regulated diet, eat lost of fruits and vegetables...so for the life of me I can't figure out why my face seems to be aging so rapidly and prematurely at just 31yrs of age?
Going through some of the topics on the forum I saw a lot of people have had some success with facial exercises, which I've tried to no avail, also I tried the Tanaka Face massage for a bit, and no positive results and in fact my face possibly looked worse after :/ Anyone have any suggestions, or dealt with similar problems? |

If you age 10 years in a very short period of time it's time to visit your doctor for a check up!
Do that first, maybe there's a health problem that is causing this. |

Welcome!  Definitely agree with Lotusesther that a health check is in order. I am confused by how much you think you have aged, you say ten years but going from looking 19 to ten years over your chronological age is actually twenty years? A certain degree of ageing can appear overnight, in response to damage that occurred years ago such as UV exposure in childhood or smoking in your twenties. You may find this article interesting

When you say you have a very regulated diet is it possible it is too regulated, you are not eating a balance of all food groups or not getting enough nutrients for your activity level? An amateur routine of five times a week can DOUBLE your body's requirements of every macro and micro nutrient. Are you maintaining a healthy bodyfat percentage? Have you been under any stress recently? Do you use tanning beds OR a high factor zinc oxide sunscreen daily? Have you considered facial exercise? |
