I'm wanting to try a mineral makeup in place of my Clinique liquid foundation. I am very oily and liquid foundation just accentuates the oil!! I'm wondering how good the alima mineral foundation is? I need a good coverage for some hyperpigmentation. I just wondering what everyone's thoughts on the product are? I have tried bare escentuals and don't really like it. It seems itchy and hard to apply. Thanks for any input. |

Most of the MMU etailers have great formulas. All of them offers samples which is great too. A few brands I like are Meow Cosmetics, Lumiere, Makeup Artists Choice. There are many other good brands too.
Many have an issue with bismuth, which is in BE and many other of the mass merchant brands. |

Exactly, they should get a new web designer and up the CS, but they make great products! |

mineral hygenics are a line which has no bismuth
in it.
They have , large choice of colours, and the website is really accessable, and you dont need a lot to get the effect you want.
Unfortunately I think I have come to the conclusion that I cant wear mineral makeup, I have dry skin and the powders just seem to accentuate any fine lines I have and to make any flakyness look much worse. I must be the opposite of you inthat i am going to have to use liquid foundation. |

I have never tried BE, so I can't compare the two, but I LOVE Alima. My skin is combination - quite oily in my t-zone, especially in the summer, and at the same time it can be quite dry and almost flakey on my cheeks. While other MMU's I've tried don't always work on both the oily and the dry areas at the same time, Alima goes on my skin so smoothly and the coverage can easily be built up in spots that I need it to be. I hope you love it as much as I do. |
