To all skincare addicts,
Recently my skin has not been good(dull and and tired-looking), so I took a trip to Sephora and NM (for Orlane), I got a handful of samples and found some NEW ON MARKET products.
Samples I got are :
Orlane - Absolute skin recovery masque
Orlane - Obligo cooling eye gel (SA made me a sample), and he can't find the tester for the skin recovery serum, so no testing on that one
Orlane - Pure youth serum
Orlane - Absolute skin recovery eye contour
Murad - after reading all the great reviews, I purchased the essential C SPF eye which comes with a trial size of their "renewing eye cream", must be a new product ??
Murad - City skin Detox treatment, EXPENSIVE $130, has EGF(Epidermal Growth Factor)
Clarins - Eye revive beauty flash
Clarins - Super restorative total eye concentrate
Clarins - super restorative day cream spf20
Clarins - super restorative serum
PTR - Oxygen detox mask (used it before, remember it was good)
Shiseido - benefiance super contour eye cream
NEW ON MARKET :
L'occitane Olive radiant mask
Darphin - "REFRESHING" cleansing cream and toner
Shiseido - Pure retinol eye masks($60 for 12), not the old benefiance eye mask.
Since I only have ONE face, I couldn't possibly have tried all samples in one day, but I did try some.
I am a Darphin fan, but this REFRESHING cleansing cream and toner are trash, way too much perfume, don't feel or smell natural at all.
Orlane's Oligo cooling gel is good, enough hydration but is it supposed to be cooling ?? perhaps the tester has expired, I was expecting a minty wake-me-up sensation Skin recovery eye contour feels great too, but MINERAL OIL is the second ingredient
Murad's essential C eye is good, at least I FEEL good knowing I have sun protection around my eye area now.
Clarins eye revive beauty flash didn't do anything for me, and I heard it's ONLY a cosmetics and doesn't, or help take away the problem
Shiseido Pure retinol eye mask, which claims to take away wrinkles in 15 mins and help reduce dark circle, used it once, saw some difference, seems temporary though, has to try it again to be sure. I repurchased the Benefiance super eye contour, I remember it was VERY good, but I read it on MUA that it actually induce/promote DARK CIRCLE ??? No thanks, this one is definitely going back to the store, I don't need more problems
I went back to my old fav mask this morning, LAzlo's hydra-therapy skin vitality treatment (the one you have to mix), it's my rescue !
will report back after I try the other samples , esp. the Murad detox treatment, anyone tried it ???

I know, it's fun sometimes to come back from the mall with JUST sampleS.
Time to report more...
The Orlane Oligio cooling gel feels great, but unfortunately it gives me red bumps under my eyes , so I guess it's not for me.
Orlane Skin recovery masque has a pearly tint to it, so I thought it's cosmetic effect again, but after I washed my face, had to admit, my face looks much healthier, so it's pretty good.
PTR oxygen mask is good, but it's the peroxide which is doing the oxidation, so can I make one my own ??
L'occitane Olive radiant mask dried up almost instantly, not much difference after washing.

As I posted somewhere on this site diderot, because with these oxidising lotions and creams, the peroxide can strip the colour in your eyebrows and lash and you could end up with strawberry blond brows, imagine how that looks with dark hair I dont pluck my eyebrows, but it was the only time I ver used a brow pencil to colour them back in |
