| I'm a new member to this site and have joined because I noticed a lot of comments regarding MSM cream and supplements. I discovered this only a few weeks ago. I first of all bought the Higher Nature MSM Rose cream and couldn't believe after only one use as a moisturiser for my face, what a difference it made to my skin. After a couple of days and having read a lot of reviews on this, I was astounded by the way I looked. I'm a 52 year old in menopause. Have always been blessed with looking younger than my years but the past couple of years of stress had really started to make me look old and dehydrated. Even my hair was brittle. I didn't tell anyone but I had a few compliments about my skin (it was 'glowing') and my hair after only a week. As I was so taken by this I thought I'd buy the supplements as well. I am naturally very petite and slim and have to take care with supplements and find I don't need such a large dose without them affecting me in an adverse way. So .. I bought some Pharma-Nord Bio MSM with Silica. 2 per day at 1500 mg. I was on day 4 of them (and still using the face cream) when I started to feel unwell... very dehydrated (I drink lots of water) and my face looked puffy, eyelids puffy and felt really awful. Face was very oily too. I'm wondering if I have overdosed by using the cream AND the pills. I then read comments on this site by people who are taking a huge doseage of MSM per day and can't understand it. Would really value some feedback and maybe comments from others who have experienced the same as me. We're all different and of course we all react differently. I'm wondering whether to just stick to the face cream. |
