I am thinking of a new skin regime; does it sound good? Would I be doing anything wrong? And What do you recommend.
I will start off using retin a 0.05 (from adc) a few nights a week with vitamin c serum in the mornings. (NuFountain Fresh Cosmetics C20, Oil-Free 20% Vitamin C Serum - google it, its from amazon)
After a while (is two weeks enough?)
I will apply Retin a every night (do i need a cream afterwards?) And in the mornings vitamin c serum followed by this facial sun cream (Soltan Once Face 8 Hour Sun Protection Moisturising Suncare Cream SPF30 50ml - on the boots website) Do I need a proper moisturiser in the morning? And is what i will be doing enough?

or instead of the "Soltan Once Face 8 Hour Sun Protection Moisturising Suncare Cream SPF30 50ml"can i use No7 Beautiful skin day cream - spf15?..as i heard vitamin c amplifies the spf because its an antioxidant.
edit: Or even both? - |

I guess first let us know your skin type/condition and what you are trying to accomplish. This will help us answer your question. |

I agree with erg, knowing what you are looking to accomplish will help.
In the meantime though, a few thoughts on the Retin a. I think you need to see how you do with it before going to every night. Your face will tell you if you are using it too much. If its red, dry and flakey you should ease back. Some people can get to every night within 2 weeks. Others (like me) need to stick with every other night. Applying a moisturizer after Retin a is optional. It can dilute the Retin a but does help if your skin needs more moisture. Either way is ok.
Im not familiar with that vit c product, but vitamin c does wonders for me.
As for moisturizer in the morning, you may not need it along with the c and the sunscreen, unless your skins tends to be dry. |

At age 39, I can't use retin-a (.025) more than every other day for 4 days, then take 3-4 days off. I know it isn't doing a lot regarding anti-aging but I can't be red and peeling for work. I use retinol on the "off" days and that system seems to work for me. |
