Hi,
I am about to go on Obagi maintenance and am looking into sunscreens. I always thought you had to use an all physical sunscreen with Obagi Nuderm because it is applied last. But now I see that the Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35 and Sunfader both have chemical sunscreens.
I had understood that chemical sunscreens must be applied before any other products and be fully absorbed into the skin. If you apply another layer of a different product then you could potentially dilute the efficacy of the sunscreen if the sunscreen was not fully absorbed.
Can someone please explain why Obagi Nuderm uses chemical sunscreens as a last step? Is the sunscreen still as effective as it is being layered on top of Nu Derm products?
Thanks! |
