Ok I posted a thread over dark eye circles. Now I'm confused on if they are hereditary or pigmentation problem. Depending on which one mine are I'm trying to decide what to order based on the suggestions posted on the thread. So how do I tell? Stupid question I know! |

It could be a combination of genetics and lifestyle. What have you done so far to treat it? |

What are you trying to diminish?
Dark circles OR brown/dark pigmentation on your skin?
Dark circles (in my point of view) is hereditary.
Brown/dark pigmentation is another story.
Too much exposure to the sun causes this problem with no sunscreen.
You can improve on your dark circles with a good concealer. EDS sells some good concealers.
For brown/dark pigmentation, use a sunscreen of at least 50 SPF and try some creams to remove this. EDS sells a lot of this type of cream. Forum has a lot of suggestions on dark/brown pigmention.
Only rule is to be patient when using some creams because it will take at least 3-6 months to get good results...
Good luck!

I don't have the dark under eye circle problem but I have the circle problem.
Hollow eyes or a lack thereof orbital fat in the area. I am mixed race of all sorts so it could be genetic but my mom and brother or dad do not have this!
I have had them since childhood and as an adult, I have hashimotos and severe adrenal fatigue. My mom was sick with me when she was prego but not with my bro. I sware this is a vit deficiency in the womb or something to make the lack of orbital fat development happen.
Any thoughts on this? These circles cannot possibly be normal, common yes but I look like I wear a mask! Tired and old.
There has got to be a way to build this fat in this area other than surgery. |
