I really was surprised that there were so few posts about evolastin especially because there are quite a few videos about evolastin from different news/TV shows. I wonder if it does work and why it isn't more popular. |
it may be cause that lots of docs invested in thermage and titan and were not willing to buy another device which works on the same lines.... |

I did think about that and I do believe there is some truth to that. |

I found something while surfing around that I found interesting. The evolastin is supposed to heat the underlining skin to 70 degrees C. According to a chart I saw at Wave Plastic surgery most RF devices heat the skin to between 42 to 55 degree C. The Ultherapy heats the skin to 65 to 70 degree C. On their site they say that the optimal temperature for neo-collagenesis is between 60-70 C. I would think between the higher temperature, needles and suppose precision of time and temp of the ePrime machine maybe that is why you would get better results then with another RF machine. This plastic surgeon office has Ultherapy, Evolastin and Thermage. I don't want to do another link to Wave Plastic surgery site because I have 2 links on page 1 of this thread but if you go to the Ultherapy page on their site you will see the charts.
Also Panda1 this might help someone else not suffer the crinkling effect you had on you skin with Ultherapy since the heat/energy is supposed to be only deep in the skin between the needles. So less heat on the skin to cause that. |

It sounds a lot like the radio frequency treatments I've had although my surgeon said you need fat to do it since it also dissolves fat while tightening the skin, so wouldn't work on my fat free neck.
This Evolastin sounds like something that wouldn't need fat. My surgeon is getting some newer equipment so perhaps that is what he will be getting. He's been doing his RF for over a year and said he has been chosen for the newer version. Not sure if it's by the FDA or the equipment company.
Since I just had my RF in November, I am anticipating looking better around Valentine's Day. |
