Hi Everyone,

Happy to see the EDS Forum is alive and well. I spent a lot of time here about 4-5 years ago desperately searching for products to "cure" terrible cystic acne and extreme inflammation. Thanks to a wonderful "pioneer" using the handle "Boski" I was able to find 302 Skincare, which was a very long thread that raised a lot of tail feathers. However, I am not hear to further argue the efficacy of 302 - because it worked, and it's the only thing that has worked to get rid of the cystic acne and begin smoothing out the scars. After 24hrs of use my redness nearly dissappeared.

Anyhow, 5 years later I'm bored. I work as a make-up artist, and I am also a licensed Esthetician. I have been so busy in 302-land, enjoying a different philosophy that my Esthy powers have gone ignored. When using 302 it is a good idea to take a "vacation" from it. They say anywhere from 2-6 weeks should help "reset" tolerances and help the skin better utilize the 302 when you go back to it. While I feel that 302 is an AMAZING line for Rosacea, Acne, Oncology patients, and anti-aging for Sensitive skin types, I am almost 30 now and want to take a 6 month or so break and try something a little more aggressive in terms of Anti-Aging, and maybe something more exfoliating, as I currently only use an enzyme mist and Retinol serum (.75% Retinol, 6% Retinyl Palmitate).

The problem is, I want something with a really nice ingredient list (a blend of nature, and science preferred, organic if available) that will be well suited for Combo/Oily skin that is very prone to breaking out. I use a mineral powder sunscreen (SPF30) though I would love a good beauty balm recommendation that isn't just a bunch of silicones and dimethicones blended together.

I was looking into trying Pure Skin Formulations, or some of the Products a NCN skincare. Her retinol and DNA Serum peaked my interest. I would like to stay away from Glycolic, as in the past it really upset my skin and seemed to cause MORE breakouts. Salicylic is well tolerated, and lactic is ok.

Not sure if I am looking in the right place, but this forum has always served me well in the past - I know I will get some great recommendations and some insight on Anti-Aging for the acne prone, Oily and sensitive. Also, I just would like to put it out there that I am not interested on debating the efficacy or research behind 302 Skincare even slightly. If you have questions or objections, feel free to PM me but it is a line that has helped myself and hundreds (literally) of my clients and I stand behind it, and will go back to it in a few months most likely. Thank you all in advance for your time.

I am nearing 30 yrs old myself and have battled acne since a teenager. I go through periods of time where my skin looks better than other times, but i've never had a period of completely clear skin. While most skincare products out there are targetted towards teenage acne, there are only a few that aim towards acne + aging. Skinceuticals has a line called "blemish & age" which is meant for acne and aging, but even with this line i find that it gets quite drying. I have seeked a naturopathic doctor to help me because i've tried endless amount of products with no real cure. My naturopath says that a reflection of the skin is like a mirror of what is going on inside. Acne in adults means some sort of imbalance (if your hygeine is good). For me it is hormonal imbalance. I am booked for an ultrasound to see if i may have "polycystic ovarian syndrome". Many women who suffer from acne as adults may have PCOS. A lot of our hormones get released via the ovaries. If something is blocking it's proper release, there would be an inbalance of hormones and therefore causes such things like acne, mood swings, painful menstral cramps etc.
