For anybody who has read Radical Rejuvenation (an out of print book from the 90's that is perhaps one of the first to address aging and a raw food diet with science to back it up - she has a Masters in Biological Pharmacology).
I always marvelled at the before and after pics of the author, Roxy Dillon - and wondered what she was doing after all these years, and yes, what she looks like now.
For anybody interested, she has recently created an anti-ageing blog, and for somebody who must be at least mid-50's with four grown up children she looks pretty stunning.

I've never read the book or heard of her but I look forward to reading her posts as I am in the same stage of life. I thought it was interesting how much she loved ylang ylang and clary sage eos and think they balance your hormones. Will have to give it a try! |

she looks like karen valentine from room 222. Hard to say what they really look like unless you see a closeup or in person.Someone who looks 40 in a photo can look 60 in person. |

Yes, perhaps because her blog seems to be relatively new?
It's interesting the drops you linked to is Ray Peats - there was a comment on one of her entries that said the food items she is advocating we eat now are similar to those recommended by him.
She was raw vegan years ago, and competely against the consumption of any animal products. I would love to find out what made her change her mind, especially as she has a strong pharmacological background.
I'm detecting a shift - is this the beginning of the end for the raw vegan diet in terms of anti-aging and health benefits? |

I don't know Miel. I just finished reading a book on facial accupressure that included a quiz on your organ type aacording to chinese trad med. I am spleen -- the profile fit me to a tee. Supposedly, because of my weak digestive system, I should never eat raw because it is difficult for me to process.
I don't think there is "one correct diet" because our bodies are different. |

Yes you're absolutely right Alabamagirl. After years of believing that the raw diet was the ultimate diet in terms of health, even though I didn't always eat this way, this is what I thought.
Now I can see that there isn't one way of eating for all.
I am also beginning to see that hormonally speaking, different foods may affect men and women differently, so some diets are better for men than women and vice versa.
All very new to me, but certainly eye opening. |
