I am trying to figure out what is causing my skin to look this way, has anyone had retin-a or tazorac make their skin like kinda wrinkly, crepey or like there are lines?
It kinda looks like if I was a coule days post peel almost but I'm not! I haven't done any peels and the only thing I could think of was that I switched over from a cream based retin-a by obagi to prescription tazorac gel.
Anyones have any clue to what's going on?
I also had a laser genesis treatment a month ago.
Maybe its from that?

The first time I got a RetinA rx it was from my family physician in 1987 and he prescribed a very strong dose with no instructions. I had dryness, cracking and burning and thought I couldn't tolerate the drug.

Later my plastic surgeon prescribed it for me to prepare for laser and he gave very precise instructions for application and for graduating the dosage over time. That worked fine and I still use it with no problems.

So it may be a little strong for you, or maybe too heavy an application. For me the cream formulations work best, I always have cracking with gel.

But it may be something else that is causing your problem. Maybe time to see the doc?

I think I'm gonna do less of the tazorac and give it a coule months, maybe my skin is just too dry from putting too much on. I was doing it every day. I will go down to a couple times a week instead.
I just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this......

Don't rule out a formula change- tazorac didn't work for me at all but regular retin-a did. I started with a cream but my skin is much happier with the gel instead.
