Hi!
About three weeks ago I used a dermastamp on different areas of my face in an attempt to reduce mild acne scarring and a few fine lines. All the areas on my face healed pretty well except for my forehead which seems to have developed hundreds of tiny lines both horizontal and vertical.
I'm terribly upset about this since it doesn't seem to be getting any better, rather it seems to be getting worse. The skin also looks a little shiny and very thin. It doesn't appear to be healing properly and I just wish I hadn't done this to myself.
Has anybody else had a similar problem? Do you think there is anything I can do?

Hi cs, sorry about your experience with the Dermastamp. What size needles did you use? I know the skin on the forehead is thinner then other areas on the face. Maybe it was too much for that area. I am not sure what to tell you but "hundreds of tiny horizontal and vertical lines" sounds think your skin could be very dry and dehydrated. Your skin barrier/acid mantel may also be compromised. It can take awhile for that to come back. One product that can help with with the skin barrier is CeraVe. Some people have had luck with different oils also.
If it is at all infected you should go see a Doctor. Good luck. |

Thank you for your replies.
The dermastamp I used was 1.5mm. Is that too long for the forehead? I did get quite a lot of bleeding. I'm hoping that my skin is just dehydrated but to me it seems like it has been damaged. I also think it still looks quite pink.
I'll look into purchasing CeraVe, thanks for the suggestion. |

Wait wait.
Maybe the tiny lines is the brand new skin that you are aiming for.
To me it seems like you broke fibrotic tissue from sun damage.
The lines you are talking about,maybe be obvious due to the darker fibrotic surrounding tissue from sun damage.
What do you think about that? |

I thought you couldn't get post inflammatory hyper pigmentation from skin needling? And yes, I think I am prone to it.
I'm just surprised that I'm the only one who seems to be having these issues. |

I had this.extremely frustrating. The Reaura is the only thing getting rid of it.
So yes, it is possible.  |
