I'm 29. Fair skinned. Some light wrinkles under the eye. I think I'm seeing faint forehead wrinkles. Maybe a very faint marionette line.
Could I see LightStim results at 29?
Has anyone my age used a LightStim and had *noticeable* results? Throwing down a few hundred on skincare is a "big purchase" for me, so I'm hoping (dreaming?) for somewhat substantial results. Is it worth a try? |

I'm 32 and trying it out now for beginning of NL folds and also forehead lines. I've only just started so too soon to see results but I've noticed my skin is much smoother.
On the downside it does not help pimples but it does seem to have improve skin texture, hence the softness. I was thinking of buying the blue version of the AALS if this one works.
Will keep you posted! PM me in 2 months and then we'll know!!! |

Yes, I am very curious about this too.
Would I see *significant* results of using LightStim at 32?
I have been itching to get a beauty gadget for a while
Debating between a LightStim or a PMD. Not sure which one would be better for a first "tool" as well as age appropriate |

I also would like to add that there is a huge number of very young self-proclaimed beauty/make-up "gurus" on YouTube giving LightStim glorious reviews.
Frankly, it often seems they had not any serious skin issues to address. |

This is the reason why I find it hard to imagine why someone under 45 would bother putting the time in, using light stim. There's simply no need for it at thst age. |

Using LightStim wouldn't require extra time on my part at all, as I would incorporate it into my routine while reading a book. Typically, I read for an hour or so before bed time. Other users have commented on using LightStim while watching TV.
I am not concerned with extra time input, just need to know whether I can expect to see results. Or perhaps this is something designed for skin in fourties-fifties?
Does anyone know what is the appropriate age for starting LightStim? I have looked on their website as well, and couldn't find an answer to it. They don't state the age of their target consumer. |

Caroline, the target age for their customers is "old" like me. ;p
Seriously, I am NOT old...never will be...I'm just not real young any more. I think that's true for many of us here on this board. It happens. But I swear I wouldn't want to be 21 again for anything in this world, unless I could transfer this old brain into my 21 year old body. Then I would probably try to take over the world.
Aaaanyway...I respectfully have to disagree with catski that younger people can't derive benefit from light therapy and all these other things us old(er) women are into on this forum. However, from the perspective of experience, I will say that you're unlikely to get any "Wow" results as far as anti-aging or reversing aging, simply because you don't have enough "aged" in your skin to work with.
However, the key term in this discussion is "anti-aging". That's exactly what these modalities are designed for, and IMHO early '30's is the PERFECT time to start doing anti-aging preventative therapies. Albeit at a slower pace than us old(er) women. I wish I'd had light therapy and microcurrent when I was 31...I'd be sitting pretty right now.
Good luck! |

Hi yubs, I dont disagree with you. I think skin benefits from light therapy.
I just dont think theres too much point to it for those whose collagen is already optimal.
Each to their own. |

Thank you! I too would not want to be 18 or 21 again. |

I have been wondering this myself. I am 29, have zero lines around my eyes (thankfully, and neither does my beautiful mother), but I have always have lines on my forehead. These have never bothered me, but now that I'm getting older, I can see that they're going to if I don't do something about them NOW. I wouldn't call them "wrinkles" per se, just very fine expression lines I have ALWAYS have, if that makes sense? Also, I am noticing the faintest beginnings of naso lines. And THAT is a BIG no-no for me!
IMO, an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure, so ladies, please let me know how you're doing with light stim! Until then, I'm thinking about Safetox, as I suffer from headaches anyway and like the lifting affects as well. |

I have had lines on my forehead since I can remember (probably from birth, or before ) - they never bothered me, as the rest of my face was full and wrinkle-free and I have always looked younger than I am. Because forehead skin is naturally flatter than the rest of the face, I assume there is less collagen there to begin with and probably why I find my Lightstim doesn't plump it up/lessen wrinkles very much - but good for blemishes. Only my experience. |
