Hi everyone,

I was looking to see if there were any recommendations for products/ingredients/supplements that could go to improving my skin in regards to texture, tone and brightness. I would say that my skin type is combination - generally dry around the cheeks. I have large pores on my nose and near it on the cheeks, as well as on the forehead. Those areas a generally a little red as well. I also have dark circles and prominent tear troughs that I've had as a child but I wanted to know if there's anything I could do to improve the under eye area in regards to hydration, texture, fine lines, etc. I've also formed a broken capillary on my cheek and was wondering how to get rid of that.

Thanks so much for all your help and suggestions Smile

In your mid twenties I would definitely start to consider things like wearing vitamin C serum daily, sunscreen is a must, wear sunglasses and a hat when you are outdoors in the sun, don't smoke or sun tan. Eating healthy also plays a factor, lots of water to keep hydration. Fish oils.

This is a little bit spendy and I'm not sure what your financial situation is but something I saw on Makeupalley one time was something I used in the past, quit, went back to, quit, and went back to again. I quit because I'm trying out all the "shiny new products" I keep hearing about but none of them have worked anywhere near as well as this combination.

Here is what I read on Makeupalley:

Quote:
I need products that leave my skin "bright, radiant" as I was spoiled with these qualities by Jurlique's "Herbal Recovery Gel" (I've used this since 2004). Well I tried using the Lancome Genifique UNDER the Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel (also amazing for firming, pore-less, air brushed skin) and the results were just INCREDIBLE. I am relieved that my skin in my 40's will not stop improving Smile thanks to some great products like Lancome Genifique (and my standbys like Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel). Good news for Genifique fans - they have come out with a larger size 1.7 oz for $98 vs. 1 oz for $78.

You can see that post here

The Lancome Genifique followed by Jurlique Herbal Recovery Gel is just amazing. I plan to STOP "quitting" using this combination because I always, always, always go back to it as it's the best thing I've found for my skin. If I were in my 20s and knew about this combination, I'd begin it then and never quit.

P.S. Both of these products now have a 3+ ounce size and are available on Amazon.

I do not know how your original skin, if the skin is no problem before, it is probably because lifestyle changes caused skin changes. Maintain a healthy lifestyle. Do basic cleaning and moisturizing work.

Welcome to this forum opusculum Smile
At your age, I would look at eating healthy and adapting a healthy lifestyle (no smoking too). Once you adapt to a healthy living, you can see for yourself the improvement you can make on overall and over time.... Using sunscreen is also important factor to protect the skin from radical damage of the sun... Moisturizing the skin, paying extra attention to your hair care, etc..... I mean "overall" looking after yourself first are all important factors.... Good luck! Smile
