I've been on Retin-A Micro 0.04% for six weeks. I've definitely noticed improvements, especially my cheeks and nose, they look clearer and smoother. I know it's normal to have breakouts at first (which I have been), but when will that end?
Also, I still have some acne scarring on my chin. When does the scarring fade? How do I know when/if I need to increase strength?
I'm also having peeling, mostly around my nose. I moisturize really well, but I still have the peeling daily. Will that stop someday? |

I just wanted to add my skincare regimen. I thought it was fine, but after poking around a little, I realized that I know nothing. I'm 31, have dry, fairly sensitive skin and am indoors most of the time. I use sunscreen when I'm going to be outdoors for a while.
Morning:
Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cleanser
Clinique Clarifying Lotion I (toner)
PCA EyeXcellence (recommended by esthetician)
Body Shop Nutriganics Smoothing Day Cream or Philosophy Take a Deep Breath moisturizer
Night:
Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Cleanser
After 20 mins - Retin-A Micro 0.04%
PCA EyeXcellence (recommended by esthetician)
Burt's Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion
Rice Bran Oil (recommended by esthetician)
I also use a scrub around my nose in the shower to try to get off the peeling skin. I'm careful and it doesn't seem to have a negative effect. |

In my opnion, most of the products you used are not suit for dry skin. It's more suit for oily skin.I don't think the products are safty enough for sensitive skin. |

Retin A will continue to bring changes for as long as you use it. As to strength, you don’t need to increase the strength unless your derm advises you to.
Peeling may stop, but it may also come back. Not everyone peels at the same time or rate.

Do you have any recommendations cali? I read all of the great reviews on here about CeraVe yesterday, so I ordered the PM moisturizer and I picked up their hydrating cleanser yesterday. Any other suggestions?

Thanks Theresa, I'll stick with this strength then. The peeling is kind of annoying, but it's worth the benefits I've seen. |
