Hi, last week was the very first time I tried dermarolling, after reading as much as I could take in about this subject on EDS
I didn't use any numbing cream, did some light rolling with a 1mm roller, and was so eager to get results that I slapped on my DIY C+Ferulic serum on my face right after. I think I also put on some glycolic acid too.
It stung mildly for a little while, and I felt a slight sunburn sensation the next day. It was only later that I read somewhere on this forum that acids post rolling can cause skin necrosis. I could not find much more info on this, though.
While I try not to agonize over what I did last week, I also want to know if these acids do cause skin necrosis, and if so, how long should I wait after rolling before using my acids (LAA, glycolic etc.) I learned from here already that I can possibly use the oil-based vitamin C, but I see myself most likely sticking to the DIY LAA serums - which I love so far.
Thanks in advance for any info on this. Skin necrosis sounds so scary |
