"In department stores, Estée Lauder’s La Mer—the upscale skin care brand with a cult following—debuted The Regenerating Serum. According to Loretta Miraglia, senior vice president, product innovation, La Mer, the serum combines the brand’s original “Miracle Broth” (a combination of sea kelp with ingredients such as calcium, magnesium, potassium, iron, lecithin, vitamins C, E and B12 and oils of citrus, eucalyptus, wheat germ, alfalfa and sunflower) with another plant-based anti-aging compound called “The Regenerating Ferment” and an antioxidant-rich lime tea.
“While the Miracle Broth helps soothe the skin and fight the appearance of irritation, The Regenerating Ferment incorporates the powerhouse cell of the plant, the stem cell. These marine plant stem cells are nurtured in a lab specifically to enhance their ability to help support skin as it naturally produces collagen and elastin,” said Miraglia. “The lime tea gives a further antioxidant boost. Together, these components give a new vitality to the skin. It’s a multi-pronged approach designed to support and enhance the skin’s natural ability to renew its appearance.”

As far as I know plant stem cells don't really 'do' anything. Basically inert but sound good on paper and with such a high cost per ounce and terrific jargon AND sold in upscale places La Mer must be great. |

The same thing as Apple stem cells and unicorns do!
I am not too sure what is so great about La Mer seaweed extract vs. other seaweed extracts. |
