Do any of you guys do a combination of retin A and facial exercises? My worry is that with all the rubbing I do with the face exercises, this would leave my skin susceptible to a lot of damage as the Retin A would already have made it sensitive. Does anyone have experience with this?

Thanks Smile

I do but I don't use the Retin A very frequently. I think you might be right in that it will make your skin more sensitive but you can get around this by adding more days in between Retin A treatments.

I do. I use retin-a .05 micro almost every night, and do the ageless exercises regularly. I don't feel the combination is harmful, but my skin does get more sensitive with a higher dose of the retin-a. I also skip the skin stretching, not out of caution, just don't like it.

anyone have any more thoughts on this? To be clear, I do rub quite vigorously, as I do the Sanford bennet massage.

Well I have used Retin A for well over 30 years now, coming closer to 40 years, but only started facial exercises when I lost a lot of weight. I’m now 60 years old so have been doing them well over 10 plus years now and have done every sort going from rigorous rubbing to plain old barely touching the skin and I think they go well together.

Retin A effects people differently at different times. It is a prescription medication for a valid reason – and its not just about big pharma making a fast buck – but about the possible side effects and issues that can crop up. Can facial exercises and Retin A go together – in my opinion absolutely but they won’t effect everyone in the same way. So someone with sensitive skin who adds Retin A is going to end up at some point with skin that is even more sensitive whilst it adapts to the medication. So it depends where you are starting from. However if your skin is used to vigorous handling (I think I have seen you saying before it is) then this shouldn’t be an issue.
