To start off you ladies around here are amazing with your knowledge, tips and help. I've been a lurker for quite sometime as this is my first post.

I have had a LightStim for Wrinkles and have used it off and on for the past year. I just purchased the Nuface. I am 35 and don't have much aging (other than a HUGE wrinkle across my forehead.) They are mostly preventative. I am dedicated to using both regularly.

My question those who do micro-current and LED, what order do you use them? Normally, with my Lightstim, I washed my faced and applied serum prior to its use as it was supposed to help with absorption. I have only had/used my nuface the last 2 nights and used it first, cleaned off primer, used vit c serum, lightstim then called it a night.

Looking on the nuface site for more info I realized that the instructions for the Nuface wrinkle reducer/LED attachment it is recommended to use the wrinkle reducer/LED (on a clean face with no product), then primer/nuface device, clean face then apply products.

I am just curious what you all do and what you think is best to get the best benefits. Or if it doesn't make a diff one way or another.

Thanks!

Here's the order I use:

Peel
Start LED (I use a panel so I'm doing all of the following while LED is flowing)
Microphototherapy
Microcurrent

Microcurrent is gentle so I do it last. I also only use water soluble gels that are clear so the LED can penetrate.

Sometimes I do a little ultrasound, but I wait until the very end to do this. Ultrasound will add volume and/or slim areas and clear extra cellular fluids (even after LED and MC) so if the client I'm working on has gaunt cheeks, a heavy neck or under eye bags I'll use ultrasound at the very end. (Usually the eye bags are the same or worse for a day, then look better than before treatment on day 2 or 3 post treatment. Necks usually look slimmer and more lifted right away. Cheeks look fuller after ultrasound too.)

Basically LED and microcurrent are both healing to the skin, so the order doesn't matter. But since microcurrent requires a water based gel for slip and glide and conductivety, and some LED manufacturers instruct to use LED on clean dry skin, then it would be best to do LED first. But if you can do them simultaneously, why not?

Hope all that makes sense.

Cheers,

Christine
