Like many people on this forum I am convinced that what you put into your body i.e. supplements and what you eat (especialy what you eat) makes a huge difference to how you look and age.
I do try to eat for my skin but my efforts can be haphazard. However in the past few weeks I have been focused on improving my diet and eating more of the beneficial skin foods and trying to get a better balance in my diet of macronutrients.
I have been doing it for a few weeks now maybe 3 weeks and everyday I carefully peer in the mirror looking for the miracle change in my skin. I would say it hasn't broken out as much (could also be down to lymph drainage massage I've been doing)but other than that it is still much the same.
I am mid 30's and I have heard previously that it takes as many months as decades you have been alive for a noticiable differance to your skin so if your a teen is will take between 1 and 2 months, if your in your 20's between 2 and 3 and so on. This makes sense to me considering as you age you have more damage to undo and your body is perhaps a little slower (The Dove Strength Within supplement showed positive results at 14 weeks so that fits in kind of).
So in my head I am thinking I should see real results between the 3rd and 4th months, but I could do with a little motivation as just like anyone else a part of me is frustrated with not getting instant results.
I would love to know from the members on here how long it took you to see a real change in your skin and looks once you switched to a healthier diet? |

Usually it takes a month to see some change coz it's said the skin-renewal cycle takes about 28 days. Of course, you must make sure avoid unhealthy habits (sleep too late, face the coomputer too long...).
Sometimes, you could't see the noticable change yourself just because you check your face everyday. But friends who haven't seen you for a long time will find that. |

That is true of course, I need to get more sleep and spend less time at my PC.
I guess as the skin is older with more damage it might take a few cycles to push up the good new skin to the top which makes sense. I will really try to stick it out this time. |

About ten years ago, I had started (new to me) supplements for my skin. I did notice an improvement with Milk Thistle within 4 - 5 weeks.
I had cystic pimples along the jawline and this really helped.
I do take other supplements but Milk Thistle is the only one that had a direct positive influence on my skin. |
