Liza Minnelli at the Oscars as well as Kim Novak, both look like they went to the same surgeon. What was done to the corners of their mouth to make it look like that? Horrible. Too much filler as well.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2571686/Oscars-2014-Liza-Minelli-67-sports-blue-hair-streak-match-gown-ahead-Wizard-Of-Oz-tribute-ceremony.htmlhttp://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2571886/Academy-Awards-2014-What-happened-Kim-Novaks-face-Actress-81-shocks-Oscars-audience-youthful-looks.html

oh boy, Kim Novak looks like she has a lot going wrong with her.

I had "the Joker Face" done 2 months ago. Not really, but that is what I am calling it. I had a small bit of Perlane injected into the corners of my mouth, a little angled up and a little down. This turned the corners of my mouth just a tiny bit up. My normal resting face looked a little frownie and this fixed it.

Although it is very subtle and no one can notice it but it makes me feel more smiley.

They look like they had a muscle cut or stitched up or something. Like one of those thread lifts where they weave a wire or heavy twine or something and fasten it behind the ear. Shock

I didn't recognize Kim Novak at all. She's 81 trying to look 31 and it looks, well....sad. A couple of days ago Eva Marie Saint was interviewed. She's 90 and has never had anything done. She looks sooooooooo much better than poor Kim. Here's Eva for a comparison.....

Trying to look super young at an advanced age is a disaster. Maybe just a little younger but still in the same age range.

One thing for actresses who keep having plastic surgery is that they don't look like a normal person anymore so they can't play grandmothers or maybe a female president of the US or "real life" people. The plastic surgery narrows their range of parts they can play as they get older. Cher hasn't done much acting for a long time. What kind of role could she do except maybe a singer who has had lots of plastic surgery. Jane Fonda has had some work done but she was smart and left some age on her face so she can find acting roles to play. Just my thought on the subject.

I'll shut up now. Carry on.

Tiptoedancer, did you see Mo Rocca's interview of Eva Marie Saint on CBS Sunday Morning? She is a lovely person, inside and out.

I agree with everything you said. Jane can still play a glamorous grandmother or high powered executive. She said she doesn't have botox because she needs expression lines for acting.

I heard Cher say to an interviewer that she wanted to play grandmothers and character parts and the interviewer called her out and rightly so. When she hits 70 she should say, "Enough."

I met Eva Marie Saint about thirty years ago. She has aged very well. She might have had her eyes done as most people need it, but I doubt anything else.

I think some women get locked into their glamour image and it becomes a trap. You can still have plastic surgery like Helen Mirren but still look your age or slightly younger and natural. However, you need a very skilled surgeon.

I know a woman whose face looks like the wrong size sheet on an oddly shaped mattress -- pulled but draped oddly. She thinks she is the cat's meow and has become a nasty bitch with an attitude. She probably believes people stare at her because she is so hot! Bad Grin

If you start younger with little things here and there you are better off than doing nothing and then something drastic later.

Yes, yes, I saw that. She is just lovely and I think far more beautiful, wrinkles and all, than Kim Novak. But Eva Marie Saint was more of an "actress" and Kim was a "movie star".

By the way, since I love old time movie stars I just adored Myrna Loy, your posting name.

Early in her career she played a lot of Asian parts. I love old Hollywood movies!
