My Product Ruined?

I have this airless pump product i purchased and well the pump is not dispersing any product..I can feel there is a lot of product left and i decided to open this container..

well i did and i am hoping i didn;t ruin this product by letting air in,

Name of item is called REPLENIX SMOOTHING SERUM
10X..I have had this item for more than 5 or 6 months..

Did i just ruin this item by fully opening it?

I know nothing about topical products but I love Google so I did a search and I don't know if this is the same product Paula reviews at the following link but later in the review she talks about products with retinol and says packaging is important because retinol breaks down when exposed to air.

Perhaps you can call the seller or maker (Topix Pharmaceuticals?) and ask them as they would know their product best?

It is skincare, not cancer drugs.

I would think as long as you put the cap right back on, it would be fine. I love the air pumps for product but sometimes they do stop working. I would call the company and see about sending back their defective product for a new one. Win/Win!

I contacted Dermstore and told them of my situation with this product and said no the air will not harm the product...GOOD...
