I used to use Devita sunscreens but began to question how effective it was after hearing others complain. Plus it was too shiny. Those 2 sunscreens you link are much too low in % of zinc for my liking. |

Why do you prefer a higher percentage of zinc oxide? What does that do for you? |

Is shiseido spf 50 a good one?
Zinc is really good for the skin and it's a natural sun blocker. |

Here's a good explanation of why zinc oxide is a good ingredient:
It has broad range protection across UVB, UVA! and UVA2 spectra.
Its cheap and readily available in USA and Asia but not approved in EU. (But EU has better filters like Tinosorb)

Look for at least 20% in sunscreen products to provide adequate protection and reapply every 2 hours when outside or after sweating or swimming.
Apply at least 1/4 tsp to face and more to the rest of the body.
I like childrens European formulas since they have less fragrances and silicones. I shop for them at FrenchCosmeticsForLess.com. This is a nice one that isnt greasy, masky or drying: http://www.frenchcosmeticsforless.com/proddetail.php?prod=6082&cat=67 |

25% is the most possible amount of zinc. On a scale from one to ten how much protected do you fell with 20% zinc ?
I'm just trying to gage my self with a tinted sunscreen I have and it has 3.5% zinc oxide and 4.55% would that be worthless ? I use this tinted sunscreen for when I got to a end of the day events for instance a pick-nick diner |
