This is kind of an emergency...I've searched other threads but I need help asap!
I had alot of large pores, so I did a few oil cleansings with olive oil. Now my face is literally COVERED with pimples. The texture of my skin is bumpy and basically all my pores are clogged.

I have sensitive combination skin and I normally only get a few blemishes before my period, so this is definitely not normal for me. The thing is, I am on a strict budget right now and I can't afford anything expensive. Is there any kind of product that someone with sensitive skin yet covered in acne could use to get back on track? I normally use natural products, but a tea tree oil soap I bought seemed to only make things worse. I'm beginning to think I need to use some chemicals to nip this in the bud...

Also- I recently switched from physical zinc sunscreen to a chemical sunscreen.....maybe this could be part of the culprit? Any help very much appreciated.

Hi lnb083, I'll just try to help a little.
I do think that changing from physical zinc sunscreen to a chemical sunscreen can have a LOT to do with the pimples. But you also mention doing oil cleansing with olive oil at the beginning of your post as if you think that may be the cause... You are the only one that can know what YOU think may have caused the pimples.
In any case, steaming your face over a hot steaming pot of water for the muck to ease out of the pores/ and pimples I think would be worthwhile and using rice flour as a sensitive skin exfoliating product also worthwhile. Then a mask of honey would be good for about twenty minutes for its antibacterial powers and wash off with luke warm water.

I would be careful with steaming if you are prone to redness or broken caps. It is a no no for many sensitive skins.

What were you using before your skin starting breaking out? Can you go back to your routine that was working? Then gradually add in products ONE at a time. If you add one at a time, it is easier to determine what products are not working for your skin.

I wonder if this is what I have on my face...I have bumps all over my face that are visible in good lighting, they are tiny and I've had them for 3 years though...they never budge or change or anything. I wonder if I have the same issue. I'm interested to hear what others say as to how to remedy this problem. Also, Inb083, would you be able to find a picture on the internet that resembles closely to your skin issues and post it here or message it to me? I would appreciate it so I can assess if I have clogged pores or another issue. Thank you

It sounds like milia, which are hardened sebum in the pores. They can be painful depending where they are located.

Milia is difficult to remove but can be done. Exfoliation and glycolic acids usually help but for those with irritated skin or prone to over doing it with too many peeling acidic products I rec the konjac sponge.

You can get it from ebay, I got mine from Eternal Concepts when they were at the health show. I love mine. It's a jellyous sponge that you wet and rub on the face. It's gentle and great for the morning wash. The only thing is making sure it dries properly or it gets moldy.

Thank you for all the comments.

Wow.....my skin quite literally went INSANE. The texture of my entire face was bumps and every pore was black. Sad

It got worse and worse and I almost could not leave the house...this was NOT a regular break-out.(I am 30 and usually get about 2 blemishes a month.)

I'm still not out of the woods, but I wanted to post what has SAVED my life. The "Face Doctor" bar. Thank heavens I remembered using this as a teenager. I ordered it thinking it was my last hope, and it didn't disappoint me.

Within about two days of using it twice a day, most of the bumps were gone and my complexion was more even. I've been using it for almost a week and am mainly working on the chin area now (which was the worst). I am so very relieved and just thought this could help someone else who was going through this. Supposedly it kills bacteria and the demodex mite...I don't know if thats what I had, but it is working great for me!

I just ordered a konjac sponge with turmeric. Cannot wait to try it out!
