I would like some help with making my routine and with the products I use and if they are ok to use all together. I am going to list the ingredients for each product because sometimes I'm not sure if I can put something on top of something or what order I should apply my products. I am a beginner in making an anti-aging routine and don't know much at all about how to start caring for my skin. I used to use just one cream at night, but I've learned I need to use more products now. I do not exfoliate because my skin can't seem to take it in any form. The closest I come to it is yogurt masks one in a while. My main concern is preventing wrinkles, bettering appearance of fine lines, and hydrating my skin because it is very dry and dehydrated. Please bare with me for this post may seem a bit long, but I would appreciate lots of help.

Now, here are my questions.

I want to know if I can put the Erno Laszlo cream on top of the Nivea cream (only to use as a night time treatment, not sure if I can wear it in the day on top of the already shiny Nivea COQ10 because the Erno Laszlo cream is also super shiny and greasy since it's basically a petrolatum based moisturizer. IF I decided to use the Erno Laszlo on top of the Sunscreen in the day time as a last step, would it ruin the sunscreen making it ineffective somehow?

Is this order a good order to apply each of these products?

Out of the options I listed for step Three, which option should I choose to go with?

Are there any products I listed that have ingredients that might not work synergistically with the other products?

Is it ok for me to not use a primer? The reason I ask about primer is because I feel the Shiseido sunscreen almost seems to act like some type of a primer, I don't know why and what ingredients in it help with makeup application...but my makeup looks better on top of it than without. Do I still absolutely need a primer on top of the sunscreen? Do I need a primer if I end up deciding to use the petrolaum based Erno Laszlo which mabye would act like a barrier to keep the makeup on top of the other products? Also, I don't understand what a primer is. Is a primer to seal in everything on your face so your makeup can't sink into all your previous products and if that's the case, how does the primer manage to do that? I mean, what ingredients could be in it that actually seals in your moisturizers underneath so the makeup doesn't sink into them? Or is primer ONLY for smoothing out the look of the skin and making the makeup go on better and stay on longer?

My other question is that hyaluronic acid draws in moisture from the environment, right? So if I put the Nivea COQ10 on top, can this product make it ineffective for the hyaluronic acid to draw in water to the skin? What about with the Erno Laszlo cream which is petrolatum based?? I ask because I wonder if the hyaluronic acid could have trouble drawing in moisture from the environment into the skin since I've read petrolatum seals in the moisture that's in the skin and protects from outer environment acting like a barrier...?

I don't user toner as of right now because my skin doesn't seem to like toners, it gets dry immediately after one use! I need to find a good toner that is alcohol free and perhaps has hyaluronic acid etc. Or, I was thinking of making a sea salt toner, a green tea toner or some other toner that is simple. Even maybe using milk as a toner...just not sure if I wash it off or let it dry and continue applying next product over milk. I'm open to suggestions. I would like to use something very hydrating for the toner preferably with hyaluronic acid in it, my skin is severely dry. I have thought of trying Shiseido's hydrating toner, but haven't purchased as of yet.

Please let me know what order would be best to apply my products and any tips and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading all of this !!!

Wow a lil overwhelming. Likely why no one has responded yet.I will give you my 2 cents. I won't comment on much of your products as I am not too impressed with them.

The Shiseido SPF 50+ Sunscreen looks like a great sunscreen. Love the ingredients but I bet it's pricey.
The Cerave PM is a great option. Has proven % of Niacinamide.I use it myself.
Not much else to tell you other than I would recommend a good C serum. Either make one yourself or buy one from Cosmetics Skin Solutions.
And you should consider Retin-A (Tretinoin)
But go slowly when starting on these last 2 items together. Do your research.

That seems like a lot IMO. I used to d that and ruined my skin. Now I stick to a much simpler/gentler routine.

Definetly keep the sunscreen (Shiseido is good) and the Cerave cleanser is good too. I would add in some gentle exfoliation 1-2 times a week. I like to use face oils (mix my own) and find that is enough moisture for me.

Again, I did the retin-a, vit c serum, special eye cream, AHA's, TCA peels, etc etc in the past and it was not good. Less is better IMO.
