I found this recipe online and wondered what the experts on this forum thought of it or if anyone has used it Also, if i take out the citric acid could i use 2% optiphen or would i increase the oils and can i substitute the carrier oils at the bottem for a combination of coconut, virgin palm, macadamia and jojoba? I've made a few recipes on this forum and am loving it but am still new to it all. Also, i'm still unsure how to convert the percentages to tsps, could anyone help with that as well? TIA!!
20% l-ascorbic acid
5% propylene glycol (don't gag, it emulsifies and enhances penetration)
5% of a 1% HA serum
1% vitamin E oil
2% glutathione ( more than 2% does better in a higher pH, but it's a great antioxidant)
1% citric acid (helps to preserve + reduces pH (shoot for 2.5 for best penetration)
1% preservative of choice
60% distilled water
5% carrier oils (my choice does double or triple duty, and are typically a combo of: meadowfoam, rice bran, walnut, evening primrose, sesame + almond.. jojoba |

Looks like there aren't any brave souls out there anymore. How about this question: What vitamin C serum do you use or have seen the best results with? |

Thats what I thought too! I wonder if someone tried to formulate this recipe based on that product. Sure seems like a great product, I just don't want to tackle it right now until I get some questions answered but it would be awesome to be able to do it yourself! Thanks for replying, nice to finally meet someone! |

Vitamin C serum and glutathione when combined provide greater results. Vitamin C and glutathione whitens skin, prevents wrinkles and maintains healthy skin. Thanks for the recipe. I will surely try this. I will give you review once I have tried it. I love DIY skin care products because they are natural plus it is not expensive. |

Wait, what???? pH of 2.5 would be pretty irritating and pro-inflammatory for the majority. Have you used this yet rilee? |
