DIY C+Ferulic, without oil/glycerin? Also BP question

Hi
So I have browsed most of the recipe for Vit C serum
I'm using simple distilled water and LAA
But I find it hassle when travelling

The recipe here also mostly uses glycerin and/or oil base

Question, is there any recipe to make Vit C serum with Ferulic only, without glycerin /oil / preservative(No worry, the batch will just last 1 week the most)

Not that I'm not compatible with oil, in fact, I love my Tamanu oil, Emu and avocado oil.
But I need to use Finacea gel and Derm's prescribed acne cream on top of it, I just don't want anything to hinder the absorbency of my acne creams.

Apparently my acne cream by derm's is BP(AM). Is it OK to use BP together with Vit C?

I usually wait for 15 mins after Vit C+Finacea gel before topping the BP. is that 'safe'?

PS:Can't switch the BP to PM, as the derm gave me another night cream to use.
