I just found one thread about topical vitamin D.
According to lef.org, it is supposed to be awesome.
Wonder if any of you guys tried it out and what your results were like? |

Yeah that is the article.
Topical vitamin d is supposed to increase ceramide levels in stratum corneum.
Wondering if any of you beautiful people have tried and if so, what brand. |

I used to add cheapy calciferol to my day serum before I started using ascorbic acid in the mornings. Now I use it in my night oil. It seems to do a bit of good (better moisturization, a little plumping, a little color correcting) but at this point I've used so many different actives that I have no way to know for sure if something really is working or not. LOL.
I used to use a very good local fermented cold liver oil that did wonders for my skin. I know it sounds gross, but tea tree oil helps knock out the smell. :P I think it was a combination of the D+retinol+omega-3s.
We create vitamin D in our skin and the pathways are there to process it. It probably does a lot of good because it has that affinity for our skin. Who knows, you know? |

That is great!
By the way, that fermented cod liver oil - did you do that topically? I have it with butter oil and take 1/2 tsp a day. I bought the gel version chocolate fl avor so topical application would be kind of difficult. On a side note, it has tons of vitamin a and d. |
