Hello!
I would appreciate recommendations for a nice gentle FRAGRANCE FREE cleanser for severely DRY skin that takes off make-up. The goal is for it to take off make-up really well and not dry my skin which is severely dry. I just recently tried the Olay fragrance free one for sensitive skin and liked it, but unfortunately it created some milia on my face! I don't know why....
So, I thought I would come to these boards to ask you lovely women who have used cleansers on a regular basis that hopefully have NOT created milia for you and did a great job of taking off makeup while still being gentle and good for sensitive skin. Would love to hear recommendations I can look into and thanks!! |

One causes of milia is the usage of rich, heavy comedogenic, or pore clogging skincare products preventing the skin from naturally exfoliating as normal. Most probably, that is the reason why you have milia formation. The product that you are using prevent your skin from exfoliating causing the dead cells to be trapped in the inside layer of the skin that it cannot shed outside normally. |

Thank you for the info, I understand how milia forms, I just don't see why the Olay sensitive cleanser could have caused it to happen based off the ingredients, I didn't see anything alarming.
Anyway, I really would like recommendations for a cleanser for sensitive severely dry skin that is fragrance free and based off personal experiences by board members, did not cause milia for them. I would like to hear about those products so I can look into trying them out for myself. |

I really like CeraVe cleansers, both the foaming and hydrating cleanser. Very gentle, non fragranced and will not strip your skin. You might have to use a seperate eye makeup remover for waterproof mascara though. For makeup I use seems to work fine.
ETA my skin is normal/dry. |

Pokerlady! LOVE the Paulas Choice lineup. There are several cleansers to choose from that are just the most gentle available for your skin type. |

My favourite has always been the Clinique Comforting Cream Cleanser but sadly I think they've just discontinued it! You might still be able to find it at counters.
I'm going to be looking for a replacement soon - I might try Bioderma Sensibio Cleansing Milk or Yes To Carrots Cream Cleanser. |

iS Clinical Cream Cleanser is a very gentle one.
It's like cream and you massage to remove makeup and impurities. And you wipe it off without rinsing. It's extremely gentle and you can use it to remove eye makeup without irritate your eyes. And it's not greasy. |

I'd suggest Aquanil cleanser, which is suggested by my dermatologist when I suffered from skin disorder. |

I like Andalou Naturals Apricot Probiotic Cleansing Milk. Good for dry and combo skins. Inexpensive and works well to remove makeup without irritation although you would need a separate eye makeup remover if you happen to wear waterproof mascara. |
