I get Botox in crow's feet and frown lines. Last time I also had it injected in my chin, something I'd never heard of but it smoothed and relaxed that strong muscle.
The nurse said I have four necks bands and might like to try botox in them. But is the difference really worth the extra expense? Would it cause the neck area to sag more if it's relaxed? I'd rather save my meager funds where I can get more bang for my buck in terms of dramatic improvement. |

Found answers on http://www.realself.com/question/do-botox-injections-work-neck but this bit is worrying:
Great caution must be used as injection in the neck area can lead to difficulty swallowing. This will resolve once the Botox Cosmetic has worn off but can result in the need for special feeding arrangements. |

HI, I've had botox injected into my platysma (sp?) bands.
I had moderate improvement. The bands looked smaller...not as thick. I did have a very minor problem swallowing for a couple of weeks. Not too bad. I will do it again. |

Botox to the platysma bands works very well for me. I DIY, and when I used the dosage suggested it was too much and I had problems with swallowing for a couple of weeks. The last two times I did it I used just 2 units (instead of 5), three times on each band, and reviewed it after 4 days. Then I injected another 2 X 3 on the band that still was visible.
As you know, the neck and hands are the areas which really give away age. |

Maybe I should concentrate on doing my hands instead. Less risky. My neck bands aren't that bad. |
