I've always ordered my C serum from EDS and have never been concerned but after looking around online I'm reading that it should be a clear colour to start off with, mine is yellowy golden bordering on pale orange it always has been does this mean its oxidised? Also it leaves my skin very sticky.
I've message Obagi to get the answer from them just wondering about others experience.
This time I've received it theres serum residue in the box a whole lower corner so have emailed EDS. |

| Are you applying too much serum? I encountered that stickiness when I first began using vitamin c serum. I later found out I should only use a small amount and spread it thinly and evenly. Since than, it seems to absorb pretty good without the stickiness. As for the color, my current brand has a tint of yellow, but I have used a few brands and the colors are all over the place including white, clear and yellow. |

Yellow gold bordering on orange usually does mean a serum has oxidized or is in the beginning of oxidizing. Plus, you say there's residue in the bottom of the box. It would seem that there's been some leakage and if the seal was compromised, then the serum itself is compromised in my opinion.
I personally wouldn't use it.
Oxidation does seem to happen quicker with high percentage L-aa serums so that may be a factor as well. |
