I used this for 4 months every morning and night. This is a green gel but didn't make a greenish face. This is gentle and not a strong scent. I am just oily on nose and have 2-4 blemishes. I have a fair skin but some blemish scars. I feel dry after putting this gel. So I put MD formulations facial cream before this gel. If you have oily skin, you don't need to put extra moisturiser. My skin is getting better. It didn't cause blemishes. I can notice my skin is brighter than before. It's not dramatically improved but it does work. Try this if you have brown or red scar. But I heard kojic acid cause cancer. Is this true? I just worry about this because phyto+ has kojic acid. I hope this is not true.

I have small comedome around chin area.

Didn't do much for me, unfortunately, and it left green marks on my face, no matter how much I tried to blend it. I ended up swapping it away on MUA. EII and Chrysalyx work MUCH better for red marks!

I have been using it for more than two years and my dark spots do fade, but I also use vitamin c after the applying the product. It does take a long time to see the effect. I don't know if my dark spot would fade by using only one of the products.

I alway hear positive reviews about SkinCeutical Phyto+. But if there is kojic acid in it, it is definitely not so nice.

....preliminary studies showed that kojic acid actually stopped melanin production. And, it does, in a petrie dish! Later studies revealed that kojic acid is extremely unstable in formulation and actually does the skin more harm than good. .......

I used it years ago, didn't notice any improvement and yet costly. ISC is much better in result and PSF products which I am using works well and much cheaper. Laughing

Which PSF product do you use for scars? I have tonnes of acne scars and would love to ger rid off some of them.

I used to try skinceutical photo+. I got allergic. I like Skinceutical products though.

True its from Japan and has ligtening effect, but not sure if its from mushroom?

According to cosmeticscop.com:
Kojic acid is a by-product in the fermentation process of malting rice for use in the manufacturing of sake, the Japanese rice wine. There is convincing research —both in vitro (in a test tube) and in vivo (on a live subject) —showing kojic acid to be effective for inhibiting melanin production. Glycolic or kojic acid, or glycolic acid with hydroquinone, are highly effective in reducing the pigment in melasma patients. So why aren't there more products available containing kojic acid? Because it is an extremely unstable ingredient in cosmetic formulations. Upon exposure to air or sunlight it can turn a strange shade of brown and lose its efficacy. Many cosmetic companies use kojic dipalmitate as an alternative because it is far more stable in formulations. However, there is no research showing kojic dipalmitate to be as effective as kojic acid, although is it a good antioxidant. Further, some controversial research has shown kojic acid to have some carcinogenic properties.
