Hi there... I'm a long time lurker and decided to register for help (and provide my knowledge on other subjects) because facials are just not cutting it anymore!
I am a 30 yr old Black female and I have acne discoloration and dark under-eye circles from rubbing and picking (allergies). Now that my breakouts have minimized and I am leaving my eyes alone, I would like to get clear skin.
About 10 years ago I tried Obagi NuDerm and basically erased all of the above issues. My face is sensitive and I cannot wash daily with most products, but I never had an issue with breakouts with Obagi. The only side effect was flushed skin but that was to be expected after removing layers. I break out occasionally with militia looking bumps (tiny, white bumps that pop easily, and loud!).
Last year, I tried a highly rated Derm (during my visit I was told that they no longer sell Obagi products) who prescribed an antibiotic that severely broke me out and I have scars from those bumps as well.
So my question is should I try the Obagi again for a few months or is there something that would be better for me? Also, any suggestions for reversing dark puffy eyes, slimming eyelids down, and getting rid of eyelids wrinkles?
Current Products:
Clarisonic - Twice a week
PCA Skin Pigment Bar - 4x week
Noxema Cream Wash - 2x week
Strivectin Eye Cream - Nightly
Vitamin C - 3x's week
Obagi Hydrate - Twice daily
Neutrogena Rapid Clear - As needed (broke out during hotel stay which also left scars)
