On Saturday, I applied pure avocado to my dry, dehydrated 57 year old face. I had a severe reaction, primarily around the sensitive eye area. After rinsing, it resembled a chemical burn. Three days later, some of the skin is flaking. Under eye skin feels like dried out leather with deep creases replacing the light wrinkles. The swelling is almost gone. What to do about the leather like skin? I have to wear makeup for the next few days; I cannot imagine how bad that will look.
Please help!

Vaseline is wonderful, even for super sensitive skin. Good luck, i've had a similar reaction (to something else though). You might find it best to not wear makeup at all until your skin is finished peeling. From my experience, makeup just makes it look worse! Please see your doctor if the skin doesn't keep improving as you might benefit from some steroid type cream. |
