Watched her and her doc husband on youtube. He explains some of the ingredients. Sounds interesting. Anyone used this line?

I am not really impressed with celebrity skin care. I took a look at her site and the products. Ingredient listing is not special. You could buy higher quality items at EDS or even the drugstore.

What caught my attention was when her husband mentioned different types of retinol and how some were ineffective.

Here is an article from skinacea describing the different types. Chart has weakest to strongest.

Should be noted he has vested interest in saying that to make his wife's line look better. If google is right, then he's a cardiothoracic surgeon, and claims to be a medical researcher, which doesn't necessarily make him a chemist or cosmetic formulator. I'd take anything he says so far outside his area of expertise with a huge grain of salt.

As he said in this video, he helped her develop the line. He retired from surgery and said he's been doing medical research since before they met as it has always interested him. So he was happy to assist. He said Jaclyn has always had the same skin care routine but he had a look at the ingredients and knew he could come up with something better.

Christina Ferrare, the host, said she has very sensitive skin but had no problem using this line. It was quite funny to see Jaclyn and her husband sort of squabbling to the point where Ferrare laughed and said she could tell they'd been married a long time. I think Jaclyn isn't used to sharing the spotlight.

Well, then he migh want to research more thoroughly. In this video he claims retinol is the gold standard anti aging ingredient. It is not. Tretinoin is, has been for decades. It could be argued that retinol is among the most effective prescription-free active ingredients, but that's far from a gold standard.

I was under the impression he was talking about over the counter skin care products, not prescription.
