Hey guys, i'm going to be as detailed as possible in the hope that there is someone out there who can help me!
For as long as i can remember, i've suffered from pretty bad skin, i had eczema as a baby all the way up until now and i've had pretty bad facial skin. In my teenage years i had really bad acne all over my face which made me so unconfident, i had tried so many products in the hopes of getting rid of it. When i was about 15 i came across acne. Org and decided to follow the regieme ( at this age i had no idea about stripping products and the long lasting affects of these products on this skin) after using it comsistantly i was finally able to clear my acne for good and has never returned however, i was left with very damaged skin, loads of acne scars, black heads that don't seem to leave and very clogged pores, and extremly thin skin.
I am now 20 years old and my skin now is worse than ever, i also have very sunken eyes which has developed over the past couple of years. I have very sparse eyebrows and eyelashes which isn't skin related but it makes my wonder of i have some underlying condition that i don't know about which makes me suffer from all these things.
I've tried so many products in an attempt to improve my skin but nothing seems to have worked, i've done so much reaearch/ looked on so many forums but hardly any one has said what has restored their skin or i haven't found any real solutions.
I've also found that many people confuse DRY SKIN and dehydrated skin,
I do have dry skin but it's not really my concern right now, the dehyration is more of my concern.
I've seen that Firefox is very knowledgable and i've tried emailing her but i think her inbox is full, i would love of she could reply to this thread, i'm also open to anybodies advice too.
If there are any products you reccomend please let me know.

The most important thing you can do to treat dehydrated skin is to assess your skincare routine, and stop using harsh, irritating products.
That means:
Using gentle, yet effective, cleansers that don't leave skin feeling tight
Avoiding harsh scrubs and/or rough cleansing brushes
Using replenishing toners instead of skin-stripping, alcohol-based astringents
Skipping highly fragrant products (whether they use natural or synthetic fragrances)
Judicious use of well-formulated treatment products such as those that contain retinol |
